The misty island of Yakushima holds many treasures, and amongst them are some of the oldest trees in the world. Yakushima Cedars, or Yakusugi, can live beyond thousands of years, standing the test of time surrounded by the island’s lush nature.

This vegan candle, handmade by vegan lifestyle brand Iokko in Paris, is crafted with Sugi essential oil imported from Yakushima, carefully extracted from the cedar’s leaves.
